Cape Cod

Sorry, I haven't had any idea for writing, because I didn't do any special last week. There was memorial's day on Monday, so we left to Cape Cod on Saturday and came back on Monday. Cape Cod is very beautiful place by the Atlantic ocean. There is very long beaches and great dunes everywhere.

We lived in our neighbor's summer house. It wasn't shore. The place, where the cottage was, reminded the Finnish archipelago. There was conifers and even mosquitoes in evening. The weather wasn't very good, because the sun wasn't shining all time, but it was still warm.

On Sunday we visited in Province town. It was so nice small village. We went to Pilgrim monument. It was so high tower, where we could see the whole village

Boston city

Yesterday we visited in Boston center. It was so beautiful city! There were a lot of old buildings and skyscraper. We saw the old city hall and also the new city hall. The old city hall was much smaller than new and it was so small next to skyscrapers. I love this city, because there is both old and new architectures.

NHL

Yesterday I was in Boston bruins vs. Montreal game 7. It was amazing night! I have always dreamed that I could get to  NHL game and now it is true. :) There were a lot of  Bruins fans and the game was so exiting. Atmosphere was crazy and the fans were shouting " Let's go Bruins!" all time, even though Boston Bruins lost. :( Above all, the game was a mindless experience!

Mother's day

This mother's day was a little bit different than our normal mother's day in Finland with my family. In Finland we eat a breakfast together in morning and then we go to visit our grandmother. And there we went to Arlington park. We enjoyed and played baseball. The weather was perfect. It was +24 grader and sun shining all time. I love summer in there. There isn't mosquitoes and there is warmer than in Finland and there are more beautifully trees and flowers. The day was wonderful! Still I missed my mom and family today. <3

Double chocolate chips cookies

Today was very warm and sunny day but we still baked these cookies. Cookies were so delicious and easy to make! We recommend! :P This is the recipe, if you want make these cookies.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk-chocolate chips
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1.Heat oven to 350F. Cream the butter and sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer on high speed. Lower to medium speed and add the egg and vanilla. Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt. On low speed add the dry mixture to the butter mixture. Beat until fully incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips.
2.Form the dough into approximately 1 1/2-inch balls. Place on parchment- or foil-lined baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
3.Bake until the centers are just set, about 12 minutes. Let cool on sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.

American way of live

Americans have their own way of live. I have noticed a couple of things, which is different than in Finland.
1. If you walk on the street, people smile to you and say "Hello or Hi, how are you?". And in Finland people don't smile or say nothing to you.
2.Drivers dodge you if you are walking across the road.
3.Americans eat everywhere. They always have snacks in their back or they buy it somewhere.
4.Americans haven't a golden mean. For example they eat very healthy or very unhealthy or they are crazy about sports and sports all time or they don't do nothing sports.
Everybody who I have met have been very friendly. I like Americans.

.... San Diego

Now we are back in Boston. Our trip was amazing in California! San Diego, La Jolla is very beautyful town and there is a lot of beautyful beaches.

Last two days we were on the beach and surfed. We were also shopping in the mål. I don't remember it, but it was very nice place! Forever 21 and francesca's were my favorite shops. I bought three t-shirst, a skirt, a shorts and a jeanblouse. I love these clothes<3.
Weather was so hot in San Diego. There was over +30 grader every day and the sun was shining all time!

San Diego

Hello! I did't have an internet, but now I have! I can write to you. :) We flow to California, San Diego on monday. The weather is so warm, even a little bit hot! I love this place!<3
We swam at the pool on tuesday and relaxed at the sun shinig. We were also on the beach and ate an ice cream, which was the best ice cream ever!
On wednesday we were also at the pool. We visited at the local school, that was intresting visit. In the evening we ate very delicious food.
And today we were on the beach and I surfed at the first time. It was unbelievable! After that we played "marco polo" at the pool. In the evening we watched indian's dance at the mexican school.

Today I got a new mobile phone, then now I can take the photos and share them with you!

Sunday

At first I have to say " I'm sorry, I don't have any photos". My phone is broken and all my pictures are there, in my phone. :(

Today I woke up at 9:00 am ant then I ate peanut butter bread for breakfast. :) These breads are so delicious! After breakfast I went running for an hour.

Then I baked a berry cake. At 2:00 pm we got friends visiting and we had a good time. I heard so much English, because they didn't talk Finnish.

In the evening we packed some clothes, on Monday we are going to California. I am very eager to leave there! :) <3

Now I have to go bed, good night or good morning! ;)

The parade

Now we have been here four days and I can say that I like this place very much! Here is a very different way to live but I like it. We have played tennis and we have been at the playgroud. We have visited at the starmarket and tarket. These shops sell food. We have also whatced Boston bruins games.
On monday were we at the parade. It was very cool accident. There were lot of different cars, horses and bands. There are some pictures of the parade.

A flight

Our flight left at 3:30pm on sunday. At first flow we to Reykjavik and then we flow to boston.

We had 12 suitcases which were full of things; clothes, shoes, billows and covers.

At the Boston airport had we some problems. We were told that kids can't go to school if they haven't visas and liljan, bettiina and niklas haven' t visas, because in Finland were we told that they don't need them, because we are there less than three months. 

We have to go to Montreal that kids get their visas.
